Lisvane Art Workshop

For our limited palette exercise. members could choose to paint one or more of five photographs using a limited palette - only two colours. The choice was:

(1)A Great Western Railway prairie tank locomotive at Didcot; (2) The Beguinage, Bruges; (3) The estuary of the river Aln, Northumberland; (4) Fuchsia and (5) Farmstead near Caldbeck, Cumbria.

These were then subjects for a critique on 16 February led by our chairman, Ian Philpot, turned critic for the afternoon. Ian then chose one painting to receive a small prize - Pam Gilbert’s lovely rendition of the fuchsia.
